- 2 packages of dried yeast (2 1/4 teaspoon equals 1 pkg)
- 1 tbsp golden brown sugar
- 4 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- 2 cups white all purpose flour
- 2 tbsp. of vital wheat gluten
- 1 tbsp. sea salts
- 1 1/2 cups of warm water
I had my owner buy me a baking stone so I could make a wonderful pizza in the oven.
I use my kitchen aid to help in the process of making the dough, when I was a younger dog I would get right in there with my paws. Not anymore. Mix together the yeast, sugar and salt with the warm water, leave for five minutes. Then add flour and gluten mixing well until a nice ball, a bit sticky but not to much. Put into large bowl that has been sprayed, cover with plastic rap and put into warm over for an hour to rise.
Take dough out of oven and transfer it to counter top make sure you have spread out a lot of flour. Using your hands divide dough into 4 to 6 smaller balls. Knead each ball adding flour until there are not sticky. Then using rolling pin roll dough out into round shape. Create your dough edges, I roll mine. While doing this preheat oven to 500, making sure your stone is in the oven.
Take your dough that you have shaped into a pizza and put it on stone but first spray or use egg and cover the entire pizza lightly. Then cook it for 3 to 5 minutes, dough will rise up and have air pockets you can see, then remove and add toppings to your pizza. Once dressed then return pizza to oven and cook about 7 minutes, keep an eye on it. All pizzas will every depending on oven heat and number of toppings.
Drizzle spicy oil on top of pizza and Enjoy.
Note if you make a Nutella Pizza for dessert, then cook pizza dough without Nutella for about 7 minutes until crust looks cooked, then remove add Nutella and Strawberries and serve right away.
