Apple Bread

Ingredients:

4 cups of bread flour

2 1/2 tsp of instant yeast

1 tsp of salt

1 3/4 cup warm water

2 1/2 cups of peeled and cut up apples, like honey crisp, Cortland or Macintosh

2 tbsp brown sugar

1 tsp of cinnamon

1 tsp of ginger

1 tbsp of lemon

Glaze:

1/8 of water

1/4 of dark maple syrup

1/4 of icing sugar

1 tsp of cinnamon

Direction:

Using your kitchen aid place yeast and warm water into bowl and let sit for 5 minutes

Turn oven onto warm put rack in middle position

After 5 minutes with dough hook stir in salt and slowly add flour, once you have all flour in, add extra flour or water if needed, because it should form a nice ball not to sticky, knead for 5 minutes once you have a nice ball.

After 5 minutes remove ball and put into large bowl, spray bowl with oil so ball will not stick, take Saran Wrap and cover top of bowl, place bowl into warm oven and let rise for an hour.

So in a bowl put cut up apples, pour 1 tbsp of lemon over apples and mix well, then sprinkle 2 tbsp of brown sugar and mix well, then sprinkle ginger and cinnamon over the apples and mix well. Set aside until bread has raised.

After hour take dough and put on flour surface. Roll dough out and in the middle spread apple mixture all over. Then roll dough up and place back into mix with dough hook. Knead dough until it forms a nice ball.

Heat oven to 425.

Put dough onto a large oven wear dish and cover it with tin foil. Then bake for 40 minutes. Remove tin foil and bake and extra 10 to 15 minutes until bread browns up.

While bread is baking make your glazed once all mixed together put the glaze in fridge and let it thicken up.

When bread is baked remove from oven and let sit for five minutes. After five minutes put bread onto plate take thicken glazed and spread it over the bread so that it covers the whole bread.

After it sits at least another five minutes allowing the glaze to set, once glaze set you can eat it. Enjoy.
