If you like waffles, then these will be a hit.
Ingredients and directions:
1 1/4 all purpose flour
Add 3 1/2 baking powder to flour
Mixing them together, continues
Add 1 heaping tbsp of brown sugar to mixture
Continue to mix together forcing air into your dry ingredients
Add 1 1/2 cups of buttermilk and 1 egg
The mixture needs to be lose, not to thick but not to running either, similar to cake batter, so if you need add a bit more buttermilk until you have cake batter constancy
Heat waffle iron
Once heated cover the bottom with mixture, close waffle iron, depending on your iron it should take 1 1/2 minutes to 2 1/2 minutes to cook
This make 4 soft fluffy waffles that will melted in your mouth
I add after I pour batter onto iron, some chocolate chips sprinkling them over the batter to some of the waffles, as some of us like chocolate chips in our waffles and some do not.
Serve with fruit and warm real maple syrup as the syrup makes a big difference. If you can get your hands on dark maple syrup this is the best for waffles or pancakes as it heightens the taste in your mouth. Your taste buds will love you
We also serve bacon or sausages with our waffles. Enjoy.
