A Taste Of Heaven-Banana Chocolate Chip Buttermilk Pancakes

Ingredients:

If you have a good quality fry pan use it, make sure you warm it up for about 3 to 4 minutes before you begin to cook.

1 1/2 cups of all purpose flour

3 taps of baking powder

1/2 tsp of baking soda

But these into your mixing bowl and begin to mix for about 3 to 5 minutes beating air into the ingredients. Then add:

1 heaping tbsp of brown sugar

Keep beating for a 1-2 minutes

Then add:

1 1/2 cups of buttermilk, if you don’t have buttermilk you can use regular milk but add a heaping 1 tbsp of Greek yogurt or 1 tbsp of white vinegar to the milk,

Break 1 egg into milk mixture then slowly pour mixture into dry ingredients keep mixing until very smooth about 5 minutes

Then add one large banana either mush it before adding or you can add and beat until it is mushed and pancake batter is smooth

Then add 1 cup of dark chocolate chips, beat for another 2 minutes

Keep pancakes warm in oven on serving dish while you cook. Serve with either sausages or bacon and real maple syrup, I use dark maple syrup as it has a stronger taste

(Note: I get my maple syrup from Erabliere Marois et Freres, St. Joachim-de-shefford, Qc-they do have a stall in Montreal at the Atwater Market outside)

  • 2 Tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
