Best cherry Tomatoe Sauce


  • Ground Kosher salt
  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • 1/4 cup red martini
  • 1/4 cup of cinzano
  • 4 large garlic cloves, finely chopped
  • 4 cups of cherry tomatoes
  • 2 cups seedless of cocktail tomatoes from the vine
  • 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 2 cup of Basile fresh then coarsely chop up
  • 2 cups of vegetable broth
  • 1 can of 28oz dice tomatoes
  • 2 cans of 156 ml tomato paste

Serve with pasta, garlic bread and

  • Freshly grated Parmesan (for serving)

In a large cup warm up the olive oil, while that is happening dice garlic and toss into olive oil. Then cut up cherry tomatoes into small pieces and add to pot, then remove seeds and cut up cocktail tomatoes and add to pot. Then add 1/4 cup of red martini and cinzano to pot, then add pepper and salt to pot, then add chopped up Basile to pot and add vegetable broth next let simmer, after 15 minutes of simmering use hand blender and purée then add 1 can of diced tomatoes
